(DOVE): GYM WARS #53: Devil's Acre

21st November
Tiger Gym, Hiroshima

Card
Gunso & Kabuki Kid vs Ultimate Spider Jnr & Hiromasa Koyama
"brother" YASSHI & Kyohei Kinoshita vs Shoichi Uchida & Tatsuya Matsubo

Information is sparse, so this is only a brief outline of what may have happened. Some details may be missing or incorrect, but I have tried to get as much information as I can.

Ultimate Spider Jnr and Hiromasa Koyama started the match attacking young Kyohei Kinoshita who was at ringside, only to get chased off by Gunso and Kabuki Kid.

During the match Gunso suddenly stopped Kabuki Kid using a chair, and then attacked him, and opened his jacket (with a big grin) to reveal he was wearing a tank top with the word "DEVIL" written on it. It was later discovered that Kabuki Kid was also wearing the same tank top, which caused everyone to recoil in shock with "Otosan!" ("Father").
I'm not too sure on the next details as they are vague, but it seems like there is some kind of connection between Kabuki Kid and Ultimate Spider Jnr, with Spidey telling him to "Take responsibility!" and "Do what you like with me!" Kabuki Kid said that as whatever had happened was a long time ago, let's just forget it, but Ultimate Spider Jnr refused to be mollified and got a chair and sat in the middle of the ring and refused to move. No amount of pleading would make him.
So in the end Gunso and Koyama picked him up in his seat, and tipped him out of the ring.

With thanks to: Yoshio Chief, Hina.

(DOVE) COSTUME RESEARCH: Naoki Tanizaki

While pursuing a style that "comes nicely" to himself, in addition to shorts with deep slits, baseball shirts have recently taken hold. Tanizaki talks about his commitment to mesmerising fans both in his match and visually.

HAIRSTYLE
Hairstyles continue to change, such as cuts and perms, but he has dreadlocks currently.
"I usually have a normal hairstyle, but I go through various cycles. It's a cycle that after a long time that makes me want to play trying to apply a braid or a perm. I get it done on a friends rate (laughs).

BASEBALL TOP
The shirt has both the Dove and the Osaka Mixture logos, and the number "116" is on the back.
"The jersey number can be black or a when I am with Sparky, yellow, but the number itself I am particular about. The details are a company secret. Also, I found the brand in England, "Superdry", and I change the letters bit by bit."

GLOVES
He wears long gloves and red taping which wrap around the wrists.
"Because I wear a baseball shirt, the taping needs to be wrapped longer, so I think it is better to wear gloves. I found them and bought them at home improvement stores. Recently, I have been using Russian hook punches, although it's a foul, it gives some consideration to the opponent" (laughs).

HALF PANTS & SHORTS
A deep slit is on the side of the long shorts, which hang over wrestling boots, kneepads and shin guards.
"The slits have completely eliminated the damage the costume takes, which I think was ground breaking. I designed it myself when I was in Mexico, thinking "I wonder if this is okay", and it maybe still is. Regarding the color, the asymmetric boom has come to me recently."

Naoki Tanizaki, who excites the venue with his intense fight, has been sticking to the half pants style almost consistently since his debut, but has arrived at a type that have slits in it.
"At first, I used to wear shorts, but the area between the buttocks was pulled and immediately torn. That is why I thought, I am going to cut it and so I put a slit in, and the costumes are no longer damaged".

Another thing that has recently taken root is the baseball shirt style jacket that he wears during matches. This shirt has a meaning as team wear. Shirts have taken root in the last four years, with ones prepared for the fight between Dove and BASARA.
"I am always fighting with Dove on my back, so wherever I go this is to keep in mind the feelings of the rivalry."

In the past he wore pants and skirts that are similar to mixed martial arts. He tried various types, but now he has found the best style and it has naturally reverted to this form.

"Recently, I haven't had many opportunities to get a lot of attention from Weekly Pro, and I want to spread Dove Pro Wrestling even more. When Corona calms down, I want to hold a super crowded event, and do another Osaka Mixture!"

(DOVE) Notes from "The Road To Bump Bump Revolution 2020" (3rd November 2020, Osaka)

BROTHER Yasshi acted as the MC, welcoming everyone to the show. One fan said that they cried to see Dove in Osaka again, especially at this time of year, and it was very good today. The event will probably be shown on NicoNico, and I have enclosed some YouTube links below. I don't have too much information, and what I have managed to get I have summarised below.

RESULTS
Naoki Tanizaki defeated Tidal Heat (Implant Bomb, 13 mins 39 seconds)
Shinya Ishida defeated Kabuki Kid (Deformed Crucifix, 11 mins, 16 seconds)
BROTHER Yasshi defeated Keita Yano (Nice Jamaica, 11 mins, 10 seconds)
Jun Masaoka & Kohei Kinoshita defeated Ray Paloma & Shoichi Uchida  (Masaoka with Ambitions on Paloma, 13 mins, 4 seconds)
Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe defeated GUNSO & Kenshin Chikano (Nakatsu with Triangle choke arm bar on Chikano, 15 minutes, 6 seconds)

Keita Yano vs BROTHER Yasshi (Winner, BROTHER Yasshi)
YASSHI praised Yano for this match afterwards on the microphone.

Jun Masaoka & Kyohei Kinoshita vs Shoichi Uchida & Ray Paloma (Winner Masaoka with a facebuster on Ray)
A wild match, which started off debatably normal, and then predictably the wheels fell off (or should that be the pants were pulled down) and it got wild.

Shoichi Uchida (who today celebrates sixteen years in pro wrestling), came to the ring with a baby doll, his banner pleading for help for child support, and apparently a sparkly gold vest, which he reappeared wearing after he and Ray hid under the ring half way through the match.
Then Uchida's pants got pulled down by Kyohei Kinoshita, leading the long suffering referee, Yoshino, to tell him that the way he was wearing it was no good, so to put some clothes on. Yoshino's words fell on deaf ears, however, as Ray also had his around his ankles. One person who did put clothes on was Kinoshita, who apparently stole and eventually wore, Uchida's sparkly yellow top. Ray wore a red sparkly one, which led Jun Masaoka to comment that his first encounter with him was shocking, but not because anything that Ray did, rather it was his choice of wardrobe.

Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe vs Gunso & Kenshin Chikano
Ryota Nakatsu won the match by defeating Kenshin Chikano (who is the Dove champion) with an armbar, and he challenged him for the title. Kenshin accepted, and the title challenge has been set for 20th December in Hiroshima for "Bump Bump Revolution".
